How to end up with a Lhasa-Apso?	Page 01 | 02
Very simple: Finding a game card among a deck of cards quartett - theme: puppies.... Our family was yearning for a dog and the details of the Lhasa Apso game card matched our criteria: self minded, buddy, suitable for apartment, small, handy, fuzzy. That's more or less all we know about the Lhasa Apso back then.
	We were checking the of the latest classified ads in the newspapers, but we didn't find any Lhasa-Apso's in there.  We called up the 'society for prevention of cruelties to animals' in germany where we got the contact for the KTR (Club of Tibetan Dog breeds) from. The KTR forwarded us to a breeder, which is, so we found out later, unfortunately not a common practise.   Our adventure started with 'TRADUEN BHIMO' (see photo on the left), our first 'Lhasa Apso Dog'. His typical characteristics (mix of cat and  conquer our hearts immediately. Bhimo fascinated us and I started to develop a serious interest in this breed.   ...that was in 1981
I got in contact with the successful and very experienced breeder Gerti Bracksieck who shared all her knowledge about the Lhasa Apso with me. I learnt a lot from her. We are still good friends Gerti and her husband Jochen Bracksieck.
